Carnelian Consult works with organizations and professionals with a wide range of needs and working contexts. This statement sets out how we approach digital accessibility, the standards we work to, the measures in place and how to request support or report a barrier.
Our commitment
Carnelian Consult is committed to making its digital experiences and learning programs usable by as many people as possible, including professionals who use assistive technology. Accessibility is treated as part of quality rather than an afterthought.
Standards we work to
We design and test this website against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at Level AA as our working target. This covers perceivable content, operable interfaces, understandable language and robust technical implementation.
Measures in place
- Semantic page structure with a single main landmark, logical heading order and descriptive page titles.
- Keyboard access to navigation, mega menus, accordions, forms and dialogs, with visible focus indicators.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and decorative images marked so screen readers can skip them.
- Colour contrast checked against our black, white and Carnelian ruby palette so text remains legible.
- Form fields with associated labels, clear required indicators and error messages presented as text, not colour alone.
- Responsive layouts that reflow on tablet and mobile without loss of content or horizontal scrolling.
- Downloadable resources typeset with readable structure, headings and clear column labels.
Accessible learning delivery
- Live virtual sessions can be delivered with captioning on request.
- Slide decks, workbooks and templates can be provided in advance for participants who need additional preparation time.
- Assessment timing and format can be adjusted where a reasonable adjustment is required.
- Venue accessibility is confirmed with the client before any on-site delivery.
Known limitations
Some embedded third party content, such as externally hosted video or registration widgets, may not fully meet our target standard. Where a third party element creates a barrier we will provide the same information or function through an alternative channel on request.
Ongoing review
Accessibility is reviewed when we release new pages or features and periodically across the site. Reviews combine automated checks, keyboard-only navigation testing and screen reader spot checks.
Feedback and requests
If you encounter a barrier on this website, need content in an alternative format or require a reasonable adjustment for a program, contact us using the details below and describe the page or program involved. We aim to acknowledge accessibility requests within two business days and to agree a practical resolution with you.
